Meet Our New Hens – Bella & Popsy!

🐔We wanted to share a little update from our nursery pets!🥚

Our two chickens that you may remember have now been rehomed at a lovely hen farm, as they were ready to move on to their next adventure. Although we were sad to see them go, we knew it was time to find them a suitable new home.



Following their departure, we welcomed two new hens to the St Bernards family!

Bella and Popsy have already settled in incredibly well and seem very happy in their new home. The children have loved meeting them, helping to care for them and watching them explore their new surroundings.


And we already have some very exciting news… we had our first egg laid today! 🥚


The children were absolutely delighted when they discovered the egg and were so excited to see that Bella and Popsy are already making themselves at home! We’re looking forward to lots of lovely learning opportunities as the children help us care for our newest members of the nursery family. 🐔❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY!

Today, we took a group of children to the Salvation Army food bank donation point to deliver all the wonderful items donated by our lovely families and staff members from our October Activity of the month. We were overwhelmed by the generosity shown, with a fantastic range of donations that will make a real difference to those in our local community who need a little extra support. Both ourselves and the Salvation Army would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who contributed. Your kindness, thoughtfulness and willingness to help others mean so much, and we are incredibly grateful for every single donation. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to see first-hand how small acts of kindness can make a big difference and how important it is to support others within our community.  Thank you all for helping us ❤️
